Michael got his first tattoo the day he turned 18 in August of 2010. That day, his life changed and he knew he wanted to become a tattoo artist.

Fast forward 4 years, he graduated college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. He started a freelance graphic design business called Alvarez Designs where he developed logos and business graphics for clients. However, his passion remained with drawing, painting, and tattoos.

In 2018, he decided to focus on turning his passion into a career and landed an apprenticeship with Philadelphia tattoo artist Rafael Tsitra. Michael began tattooing privately in 2019, working every day to hone his skills and improve his craft. That summer, he met the renown Philadelphia tattoo artist and owner of Swaggahouse, Ron Pichardo. Ron saw a raw talent and drive in Michael, and offered him a job at Swaggahouse tattoo studio.

Saint Michael specializes in micro-tattoos, fineline, and black and gray.
